Role Overview

Transmission Stringing Electrical Project Engineer (Or SPE)

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading national contractor in their expanding NSW presence, delivering critical power and communications infrastructure across the eastern seaboard.

The company is growing their reputation on complex, multi-disciplinary projects, requiring high-voltage overhead lines, substations, and BESS integration expertise.

  • Bid Engineering & Technical Strategy:
    • Analyse RFQs, drawings, specifications, and contract documents for complex high-voltage and transmission works;
    • Collaborate with internal bid writers and commercial staff to ensure your inputs are technically sound and strategically positioned;
  • Tender Delivery: Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality tenders that meet client expectations;
  • Project Readiness & Support: Contribute to methodology briefings and clarify assumptions to ensure smooth handover to delivery teams;

Key qualifications include:

  • Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar;
  • 3-5+ years' experience in high-voltage transmission, stringing, or linear infrastructure projects;
  • Expertise in tensioning methodology, foundation types, HV safety standards, and outage planning;
  • Familiarity with AS/NZS7000, AS2067, and utility-specific HV design requirements;
