Transmission Line Project Manager
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-voltage transmission line project, delivering new network capacity and powering millions of homes. As a skilled project manager, you will oversee the structural assembly and erection of transmission tower structures, ensuring quality, environmental, and safety procedures are integrated.
Key Responsibilities:- Quality, Environmental, and Safety Management: Ensure compliance with WHS regulations, defect resolution, and promote a safety culture among project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Project Safety Oversight: Implement and enforce the Project Safety Plan, monitor high-risk activities, investigate incidents, and liaise with safety authorities to maintain a safe working environment.
- Construction Supervision: Manage transmission line construction activities, ensuring work aligns with schedules, budgets, and technical specifications while coordinating teams and resolving on-site issues.
- Operational Coordination: Oversee foundation works, tower erection, and conductor stringing, ensuring adherence to design criteria and best practices while leading site teams and subcontractors.
- Resource Management: Ensure efficient allocation of manpower, equipment, and materials, coordinating logistics to prevent project delays and optimize supply chain operations.
- Scheduling and Reporting: Monitor project progress, maintain schedules, prepare status reports, and resolve project challenges to meet deadlines and milestones.
- Preferable 10 years' experience in a construction/engineering environment.
- Experience working in high-voltage transmission projects (330 kV and above) is an advantage.
- Expertise in foundation construction, tower erection, and conductor stringing.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others.
- Strong problem-solving / analytical skills.
- Demonstrated relevant leadership skills.
