Transmission System Operator Role

ElectraNet operates South Australia's high voltage electricity transmission network, delivering energy to power homes, businesses and communities. This role involves working as part of the Network Operations team to ensure the highest level of transmission network reliability is maintained.

Key responsibilities will include expert advice and support to ensure efficient operation of the transmission system. You will work under direct supervision and receive on-the-job training to develop competency in real-time operation, monitoring, coordination and control of the transmission system.

Shift work is required to provide a broad range of experience. On completion of the training program, you will perform roster relief and project support until a permanent position on the roster becomes available.

About You

Applicants must be either an Electrical trade skilled worker or have an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering (or higher). A current ElectraNet switching Licence Category 2 is also required, along with proven experience in the field.

A strong understanding of high-voltage power systems and equipment is essential. You will also demonstrate ability to work across multiple tasks concurrently, with thoughtfulness and clear intent. Strong communication skills are key in this environment.
