Job Description

Role Summary:

The Dean of Mission and Education Leader is a key member of the College Leadership Team at Mount St Benedict College, responsible for developing and promoting the Catholic dimension of the College, including its Ethos and Religious Charism. This role requires a strong leader who can give expression to the College's Mission and Vision Statement through the development and implementation of educational programs, faith experiences, and pastoral services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement educational programs that align with the College's Catholic, Benedictine, and Good Samaritan traditions.
  • Lead the development of faith experiences and pastoral services that support student wellbeing and spiritual growth.
  • Collaborate with the College Leadership Team to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
  • Model effective wellbeing approaches and responsible use of technology.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff members to ensure the College's Mission and Vision Statement is upheld.

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong understanding of the charism of Good Samaritan Education and the Good Samaritan Schools Teaching and Learning Framework.
  • Minimum of five years teaching and leadership experience in a Catholic school.
  • Relevant teaching qualifications and postgraduate qualifications in education, leadership, religious education, or theology.
  • High level of competency in leadership domains.
  • Valid 'Working with Children Check' Clearance.
