About the Role

The Mount St Benedict College is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to fill the position of Dean of Wellbeing. This is a permanent full-time role that will commence in 2025.

The Dean of Wellbeing will be a key member of the College Leadership Team, responsible for overseeing the student wellbeing program and fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment that enables students to thrive and achieve their full academic potential.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a student-centred wellbeing program that aligns with the College's mission and vision.
  2. Lead the development and implementation of behaviour management processes and support services that cater to the individual needs of students.
  3. Collaborate with the College Deans to implement the MSB Wellbeing and Learning Model.
  4. Provide leadership and guidance to staff to ensure they are equipped to support student wellbeing.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including parents, teachers, and external agencies.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience in leadership and teaching in a Catholic school setting.
  2. Relevant teaching qualifications and postgraduate qualifications in education, leadership, or a related field.
  3. Strong understanding of the Good Samaritan Education charism and the Good Samaritan Schools Teaching and Learning Framework.
  4. High level of competency in leadership domains, including strategic planning, staff management, and community engagement.
  5. Valid 'Working with Children Check' Clearance.
