Job Summary

Catholic Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Mission Manager to lead our Community Engagement and Partnerships efforts. As a key member of our Mission Integration team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective relationships with local churches and communities to enhance and grow our Catholic Connected Communities initiative.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Community Engagement: Create and lead the Church & Community Engagement Working Group to develop and enhance local church and community connections for older people in line with our Community Engagement Framework.
  2. Partnership Development: Develop and grow partnerships with local churches, parishes, schools, religious orders, and communities to support the spiritual wellbeing of older people.
  3. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including regional and local managers and pastoral carers, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  4. Spiritual Wellbeing: Develop spiritual wellbeing products and services for local churches and communities to meet the spiritual needs of older people.
  5. Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with managers and employees across the service areas to provide relevant resources and support.
  6. Volunteering: Collaborate with the CHL Volunteers team to enhance volunteering pathways for local churches and communities.
  7. Network Development: Establish networks across other organisations in the community and aged care sector to support our mission.
  8. Support and Guidance: Support the Mission Manager, Spiritual Wellbeing, and Spiritual/Pastoral team members across all service streams.
  9. Program Development: Contribute to developing and delivering mission formation programs aligned with our Mission Integration Strategic Plan.
Requirements
  1. Tertiary qualification in theology, religious education, ethics, scripture, teaching, or equivalent.
  2. Demonstrated experience in building stakeholder engagement with local church and community.
  3. Spiritual maturity and ability to appreciate differing value systems, beliefs, and practices.
  4. Ability to engage and participate in complex discussions and influence decision-making.
  5. Deep understanding of the Catholic tradition, the sacraments, and the liturgical life of the Catholic Church.
  6. Understanding the spiritual journey within the ageing process, providing for inclusion and valuing of all people.
  7. Ability to lead and adapt in response to change.
  8. Administrative ability and tech savvy – MS Office Suite and Teams.
  9. Own vehicle and driver's license with ability to travel across Sydney Metro & Regional NSW.
  10. Willingness to obtain Police Check and NDISWC.
