Job Title: Principal Occupational Hygienist

A career-defining role for an expert in occupational health and safety.

The job holder will be responsible for formulating high-level advice and providing expert consultancy to the regulatory body on current and emerging workplace hazards, with a particular focus on human factors and occupational hygiene. This includes contributing to the management of service delivery by providing mentoring, coaching, and advisory support to team members, as well as operating within a politically sensitive environment to address complex organisational, operational, and staff issues.

About the Opportunity

The successful candidate will have a relevant degree in science, applied science, or engineering, including coursework in quantitative science or occupational hygiene subjects (biochemistry, microbiology, chemistry, occupational toxicology, epidemiology, and hazards). They should also possess comprehensive and current knowledge in one or more areas related to workplace health hazards, including familiarity with state and national initiatives.
