Director of Occupational Safety and Health Leadership

The Senior Director of Occupational Safety and Health will provide strategic leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive health and wellness strategy, ensuring organizational risk mitigation through regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute the OSHW strategy, providing enterprise-wide leadership, subject matter expertise, guidance, and oversight.
- Provide strategic advice on legislative requirements and best practices in health and wellness.
- Ensure Occupational Safety and Health risks are identified and addressed through effective health and wellness committees and processes.
- Lead the development and implementation of key corporate health & wellness initiatives.
- Lead the performance and skill/career development of the OSH specialist team.
- Provides leadership, consultation, and support to address occupational health, safety, and wellness needs and issues.
- Provide strategic advice on legislative requirements and best practices for injury prevention.
- Responsible for OSH Policy development, education, and implementation.
- Participate in policy review and approval committees.
The ideal candidate will possess a post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or Human Resources with a focus on Health and Safety. A minimum of 10 years' experience in occupational health and safety or human resources management is required, along with at least 5 years of leadership experience.
