Health and Safety Expert

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety professional to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing health and safety expertise to clients and supporting internal teams.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in occupational health and safety and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough reviews of contractor HSEQ documentation and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and enhance health and safety review protocols as necessitated by legislation.
  • Perform desktop audits of health and safety programs and/or other HSE documentation.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of health and safety initiatives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on health and safety matters with clients.
  • Analyze processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support the organization's Continual Improvement Program to meet quality management system (QMS) and information security management system (ISMS) objectives.
  • Provide support and assistance to colleagues as needed.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and ISO/management systems standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A high level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
