A Fundraising Strategist

Job Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the relationship fundraising efforts. As a Fundraising Strategist, you will use your proven relationship experience to develop and implement a strategic and proactive fundraising program aligned with the organisation's mission and strategic plan.

You will take ownership of the portfolio, drive major giving and funding from high-net-worth individuals, organisations, corporates, and community fundraisers, making a real impact on the organisation.

The role is varied and would suit someone with demonstrated success in delivering a proactive major gift and/or corporate partnerships program to meet targets and execute superior stakeholder and budget management skills.

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  1. Developing and implementing a philanthropy fundraising strategy with ownership of the program.
  2. Reporting to senior leadership and working closely with the marketing team.
  3. Taking ownership of the portfolio and making a real impact on the organisation.
  4. Driving major giving and funding from high-net-worth individuals, organisations, corporates, and community fundraisers.
  5. Executing superior stakeholder and budget management skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

A few years of experience in a similar role with demonstrated knowledge in corporate partnerships, consultative sales/revenue generation, and philanthropy fundraising.

Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial approach.

Ability to interpret, analyse and adapt highly complex information demonstrating how proposals meet funders' requirements.

Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Practised in project management, planning, and coordination in a multi-task environment.

Strong negotiating and influencing skills.

Exceptional presentation and communication skills.

A highly motivated individual who is a great 'connector', 'influencer', and 'networker'.

Possess an entrepreneurial approach to the role.

Positive, engaging, and approachable attitude with a strong client-service focus and commitment.
