Childcare and Household Assistant - Supportive Role for a Busy Household

About the Position:

We are seeking a reliable, nurturing, and highly organised individual to join our family in Sydney. This dynamic position is ideal for someone who is confident in caring for young children and managing daily household tasks.

This role involves working on a flexible roster with an average of 27-34 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide attentive care for two children (ages 3 and 1.5) and support their daily routines, including meals, naps, hygiene, and play activities.
- Plan and engage in stimulating activities that promote learning and development, tailored to the children's interests and needs.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks according to their dietary requirements and preferences.
- Monitor and manage any allergies or medical needs with care and attention.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming household environment through regular housekeeping duties.
- Assist with family meal preparation, grocery shopping, and basic cooking tasks.
- Keep shared areas and children's spaces tidy and well-stocked.
- Communicate effectively with the parents about the children's needs, development, and schedules.
- Adapt to changes in routine, including occasional evening babysitting or support on weekends when required.
- Possess a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar childcare and household assistant role.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate care.
- Be over 24 years of age, with the maturity and life experience to manage both childcare and household responsibilities confidently.
- Possess strong organisational skills, ability to multitask, and comfortable balancing childcare responsibilities with household management duties.
- Have a valid driver's licence and own car (preferred).
- Hold up-to-date First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Display a warm, positive, and engaging personality with excellent communication skills.
- Be flexible in working hours to accommodate the family's needs.
- Show high reliability and punctuality, with a strong commitment to showing up when scheduled.
