Job Opportunity: Family Support Professional

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate professional to deliver high-quality service to vulnerable children, young people, and their families.

This role exists within our Child, Youth & Family Services team, working across the Northern Sydney region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of families and young people to address their needs.
  • Providing outreach to engage with families and young people at an early stage.
  • Working with families on issues related to child protection, such as Domestic Violence, Mental Health, and Alcohol and drug misuse in the family context and child safety.

Key Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience and skills in information provision, intake, assessment, and referral of working with families in need of support services.
  • Excellent understanding of child protection issues and client vulnerabilities.
  • Able to engage with parents and young people to develop case plans and goals.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • National Criminal History Check.
  • Working with Children's Check.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence.
