Residential Engagement Specialist - Casual Position at a Vibrant Community Centre

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Residential Engagement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the community centre, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of elderly residents by planning and organising fun activities that promote their physical and mental wellbeing.

About the Role

As a Residential Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for driving resident engagement and participation in various social, recreational, and cultural activities. You will work closely with our coordinator to plan and present programs that cater to individual residents' needs, values, and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organise recreational activity programs that promote resident engagement and participation
  • Facilitate activities, lead group activities, and provide care plans for clients
  • Work collaboratively with residents to continue doing the things they love

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in aged care or a similar sector
  • Certificate III in Aged Care or currently studying Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine care for others and ability to support residents in maintaining and relearning skills related to recreational activities
