Compassionate Caregiver Role

Are you passionate about enriching the lives of others? As a compassionate caregiver, you will play a vital role in creating joy and connection for our residents.

Our ideal candidate is a natural people person who thrives on building strong relationships and fostering a sense of belonging. You will be responsible for planning and facilitating engaging activities that cater to diverse interests, from art classes to day trips and movie nights.

As part of our team, you will also provide emotional support and assistance with daily living tasks, such as mealtimes and outings. Your ability to connect with residents and colleagues alike will make you an invaluable asset to our community.

Responsibilities
  • Engaging Activities: Plan and facilitate activities that promote socialization, creativity, and fun.
  • Supportive Companion: Provide emotional support and assist with daily living tasks, such as mealtimes and outings.
  • Team Player: Collaborate with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan activities, document progress, and escalate concerns.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols.
  • Catering Support: Assist with meal preparation and serving, adhering to food safety standards.
Requirements
  • Passion for Caring: A genuine passion for enriching the lives of others.
  • Excellent Communication: Ability to connect with residents and colleagues, building trust and rapport.
  • Teamwork: Willingness to collaborate effectively and support others.
  • Qualifications: Certificate III in Leisure and Lifestyle or Individual Support (or willingness to complete). First Aid Certificate (or willing to get one).
