Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Behaviour Support Practitioner. This rewarding role involves building long-term relationships with individuals and their support networks to create a vision for a life without restrictions.

You will work closely with people of all ages, achieving outcomes for greater quality of life and less restriction. Our team is committed to delivering a world-class service, prioritising learning development, and wellbeing.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all practices and interventions are compliant with relevant rules and codes of conduct.
  • Use research evidence and professional reasoning when recommending therapy strategies.
  • Identify and develop efficient processes and systems within the delivery of PBS services.
  • Develop effective working alliances with people and their families to identify factors affecting a working alliance and repair breakdowns.
  • Enhance the capacity of people to make their own life choices and increase their independence.
  • Approach risk in a positive way to achieve quality of life outcomes while ensuring safeguards are in place.
Key Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to be AHPRA registered as either an Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse, hold a Bachelors Degree qualification in Social Work, and full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.

Alternatively, you can hold a Developmental Educator qualification.
