We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the culinary team at a vibrant venue in Ballarat. The ideal candidate will bring creativity and expertise to our kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation, quality, and presentation.

About the Position

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
  • Develop seasonal menus that reflect fresh, local ingredients and showcase your creativity in menu design and presentation.
  • Oversee food preparation, stock management, and inventory control to maintain efficient operations.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Train, mentor, and support junior chefs to foster growth and development within the team.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a busy restaurant setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire your team.
  • Creativity in menu design and presentation, with a passion for using local ingredients.
  • Solid understanding of food safety practices, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining consistency in food quality and presentation.

Compensation Package
