AusNet Services Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Network Specialist to join its Infrastructure Development team in Melbourne.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to provide technical leadership and support for infrastructure projects, focusing on network augmentation and development.

As a Senior Engineer (Secondary), you will be responsible for providing specialist engineering and technical advice to support AusNet's growth within the Stations Secondary engineering discipline.

The successful candidate will have prior experience across secondary engineering design and construction, with a strong understanding of electrical terminal station design, construction, and asset management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist technical, commercial, asset management, and design advice to support AusNet Services growth within the Stations Secondary engineering discipline.
  • Work within/lead multidiscipline teams to manage the development of tender and detailed designs, project scopes of work, equipment, and construction specifications and other project activities.
  • Audit secondary detailed design deliverables to the required quality, meeting all relevant standards and functional requirements.
  • Provide engineering support to resolve complex engineering issues during project development and delivery.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Engineering or tertiary qualification with significant experience in utilities with depth in design and asset management.
  • Prior experience across secondary engineering design and construction with business acumen and ability to meet engineering design excellence.
  • National Electricity Rules (NER) certification is essential.
  • Extensive knowledge of Secondary electrical equipment in respect to design, performance, functionality, operation, and maintenance as used in Terminal Stations and Substations rated at up to 500kV in accordance with relevant Australian Standards.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $150,000 per annum, plus superannuation and other benefits.

In addition, we offer a hybrid split work arrangement, allowing you to balance your work and personal life. This role is based in Southbank, Melbourne, and reports into the Team Lead, Infrastructure.
