We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Distribution Specialist to join our team at AusNet Services. This is a critical role that requires expertise in maintaining the reliability and safety of electrical distribution systems.

About the Role:

  • Ensure the reliability, resilience, and safety of electrical distribution systems through effective maintenance strategies and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Optimise asset performance by implementing efficient maintenance plans and pipelines.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of asset failures and recommend preventative measures to minimise downtime.
  • Oversee maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance activities and minimise disruptions.
  • Communicate maintenance schedules and requirements with field teams, engineering, and operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices in asset management.

About You:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as an Engineer with extensive field experience in operation, maintenance, and repair of distribution network assets.
  • Detailed knowledge of industry maintenance practices and procedures of electrical plant and equipment associated with distribution network assets.
  • Proficiency in the use of engineering-related software applications, MS Office, and SAP.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects/initiatives, teams, and budgets.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

  • An estimated salary of AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
