About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as an Enhanced Family Support Practitioner. This is a fixed-term part-time position until 19 September 2025, working hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advocacy and support to families to ensure their voice is heard in relation to social justice, human rights, and social change.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive and focused approaches for early intervention and prevention of physical, emotional, and social issues affecting young children and their families.
  • Ensure timely referrals for children and support for families, working collaboratively with other agencies and services.
  • Work with vulnerable families with children in the 0-6 years, providing individualized, focused, and intensive support to improve their health and wellbeing.
  • Manage complex social needs and develop effective case management strategies to support families.
Requirements
  • Diploma or above qualification in Community and/or Social Services.
  • Registration with Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) or completion of an Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA) accredited course.
  • Experience working with vulnerable families with children in the 0-6 years.
  • Desire to make a positive impact on the lives of families experiencing short or long-term vulnerability.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
