About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as an Enhanced Family Support Practitioner. This is a fixed-term part-time position, working up to 19 September 2025, with a competitive hourly rate of $50.30 plus 11.5% super.

The successful candidate will be based in Moe, Morwell, Traralgon, or Churchill, and will be responsible for providing advocacy and support to families with young children. This will involve working with vulnerable families to ensure they have a voice and are empowered to make positive changes in their lives.

About You

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of parents and children. You will have a Diploma or above qualification in Community and/or Social Services, and registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) or an Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA) accredited course.

You will have experience working with vulnerable families, particularly those with children in the 0-6 years age range. You will also have a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of families who are experiencing short or long-term vulnerability.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide advocacy and support to families with young children, ensuring they have a voice and are empowered to make positive changes in their lives.
  2. Work with vulnerable families to identify and address their needs, providing individualized and focused support.
  3. Develop and implement case management plans to support families with complex social needs.
  4. Collaborate with other agencies and services to ensure families receive comprehensive and timely support.
  5. Provide education and support to families on topics such as parenting, child development, and social justice.
