Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maternal and Child Health Nurse to join our team at Latrobe City Council. As a Maternal and Child Health Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing advisory, supportive, and educative primary health and support services to families with children from birth to school age.
About the Role
As a key member of our Family Health team, you will be responsible for delivering Key Age and Stage consultations to assess, screen, and monitor the health, growth, and physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children from birth to school age. You will also develop specific programs and strategies to assist families during this time.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advisory, supportive, and educative primary health and support services to families with children from birth to school age.
- Deliver Key Age and Stage consultations to assess, screen, and monitor the health, growth, and physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children from birth to school age.
- Develop specific programs and strategies to assist families during this time.
- Work effectively as part of a team to provide high-quality services to families.
- Manage own time, determine priorities, plan, and organize workload to meet deadlines.
- Hold a current Victorian driver's license.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with the Victorian Board of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Qualifications in Midwifery.
- Qualifications and previous experience working as a Maternal & Child Health Nurse.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Proven experience to manage own time, determine priorities, plan, and organize workload.
- Current Victorian driver's license.
