About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Case Manager to join our team at Anglicare Victoria. As a key member of our care team, you will provide leadership and coordination to ensure the best possible care for children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to carers and children and young people in care, working collaboratively with other care team members to develop and implement care plans.
  • Recruit, train, and assess carers as required, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Undertake Adoption relinquishment counselling as needed, providing sensitive and supportive guidance to individuals making difficult decisions.
  • Work closely with other care team members to ensure the development of a plan that supports the best interests of each child.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in child, youth, and family welfare, with a particular focus on out-of-home care.
  • Sophisticated understanding of the legislative, policy, and practice environment of out-of-home care.
  • Skills and experience in supervising carers, ensuring they have the necessary support and guidance to provide high-quality care.
  • Current Victorian driver's license.
  • Demonstrated skills in case management, with a focus on supporting vulnerable children and young people.
  • Well-developed organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Understanding of, and capacity to act according to, the principles and intent of the Children, Youth, and Families Act 2005.
