About the Role

This Manager – Human Resources & Training role offers an exciting opportunity to join our high-performing leadership team at Dugald River Mine, one of the world's top 10 Zinc operations.

You will report directly to the General Manager and be responsible for leading HR and training initiatives that support both strategic and operational goals.

As a trusted advisor, you will contribute to establishing stable and sustainable operational performance, ensuring our diverse workforce is well-positioned now and poised for growth into the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategic business plans, ensuring alignment with quality and timeliness standards.
  • Offer expert guidance on complex industrial relations and employee issues, ensuring compliance with employment laws, enterprise agreements, and company policies.
  • Lead and manage the HR and Training team to provide exceptional support in general HR practices, talent acquisition, workforce planning, and professional development.
  • Act as a change agent, leading and facilitating site-level change initiatives and culture shifts, while ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Champion a culture of safety, compliance, and employee engagement, integrating these principles across all HR and training activities.

What We Offer

This role includes a competitive salary package ($180,000 - $220,000 AUD per annum) and annual bonus opportunities.

About You

We are seeking an experienced leader with extensive experience in a relevant site operational leadership role, including human resources, organisation development, or business partnership functions within complex industrial environments.

Demonstrated expertise in industrial relations and employee relations, including negotiating enterprise agreements and resolving complex workplace issues, is essential.

A university qualification in a commercially applicable discipline, such as business, human resources, or organisational psychology, is required.

The successful candidate will have strong experience managing cross-functional teams, collaborating with diverse senior stakeholders, and championing a culture of safety, compliance, and employee engagement.
