About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Caseworker to join our Permanency Support Team in Wagga Wagga. As a Caseworker, you will work dynamically across the child protection spectrum, from family preservation to permanency support, restoration, and adoption.
Key Responsibilities- Visiting children, young people, and carers in their homes to provide support and guidance.
- Working holistically with carers, families, and service providers to help children and young people reach their goals.
- Supporting collaboration with a diverse team to share knowledge and insight to achieve best outcomes for children and young people.
- Documenting children and young people's goals, journey, and milestones.
- Helping children and young people achieve permanency so they have a home for life.
- A commitment to the safety of children, young people, and people with a disability.
- A degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Diploma in Social Sciences/Social Welfare or equivalent.
- An understanding of the issues facing vulnerable children and their families.
- Sound interpersonal, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a high-performing team.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective community networks.
- High-level verbal and written communication skills.
- An understanding and commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity, Work Health and Safety, Cultural issues, and the NSW Child Protection system.
- A current driver's licence.
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Clearance and obtain a NSW Working with Children Check clearance number and/or ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card.
