Senior Facilities Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Manager to join our team in Melbourne CBD.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of hard and soft services, as well as leading a site team and supply chain to meet contractual outputs and objectives.
  • This role involves full accountability and ownership of staff on the accounts, including recruiting, retaining, appraising, and leading as required.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of experience in a senior facilities role, with expertise in managing geographically dispersed teams. They will also possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as a good understanding of financials and health & safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the day-to-day operations of hard and soft services, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  2. Lead and develop a site team, focusing on recruitment, retention, appraisal, and leadership.
  3. Prepare and implement standard operating procedures, emergency, and contingency plans.
  4. Ensure healthy and safe working conditions, regularly reviewing the H&S policy.
  5. Consult with clients on contract reviews, owning CBRE standard procedures.
  6. Develop, implement, and monitor yearly service plans, KPIs, targets, and financial plans.
  7. Become the first point of contact for clients on all aspects of contract problems.
  8. Demonstrate a willingness to attend training for plant and systems installation, which may require nights away from home.
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 years of proven experience in a property-based senior facilities role, with experience in managing and developing geographically dispersed teams.
  • Ability to travel, with a driver's license required.
  • Good understanding of financials, specifically budget preparation, managing portfolio to a budget, fulfilling reporting requirements, project, and service-related financial management.
  • People management experience and good negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of the current Health & Safety at work Act.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents, requiring advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and ability to use work order management systems.
  • Working knowledge of architectural, electrical, and mechanical systems, as well as leases, contracts, and related documents.
