Executive Facilities Director

We are seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Manager to join our team in Melbourne CBD.
About the Role- The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of hard and soft services, as well as leading a site team and supply chain to meet contractual outputs and objectives.
- This role involves full accountability and ownership of staff on the accounts, including recruiting, retaining, appraising, and leading as required.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of experience in a senior facilities role, with expertise in managing geographically dispersed teams. They will also possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as a good understanding of financials and health & safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day operations of hard and soft services, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
- Lead and develop a site team, focusing on recruitment, retention, appraisal, and leadership.
- Prepare and implement standard operating procedures, emergency, and contingency plans.
- Ensure healthy and safe working conditions, regularly reviewing the H&S policy.
- Consult with clients on contract reviews, owning CBRE standard procedures.
- Develop, implement, and monitor yearly service plans, KPIs, targets, and financial plans.
- Become the first point of contact for clients on all aspects of contract problems.
- Demonstrate a willingness to attend training for plant and systems installation, which may require nights away from home.
- Minimum 6 years of proven experience in a property-based senior facilities role, with experience in managing and developing geographically dispersed teams.
- Ability to travel, with a driver's license required.
- Good understanding of financials, specifically budget preparation, managing portfolio to a budget, fulfilling reporting requirements, project, and service-related financial management.
- People management experience and good negotiation and influencing skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of the current Health & Safety at work Act.
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents, requiring advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and ability to use work order management systems.
- Working knowledge of architectural, electrical, and mechanical systems, as well as leases, contracts, and related documents.
