About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Capital Projects and Facilities Management to join our team at Florida Tech.

Job Description

The Director of Capital Projects and Facilities Management will be responsible for overseeing the development of work plans, including construction projects and facilities services operations. This involves planning, directing, and participating in the development of divisional work plans, assigning work activities to directors and supervisors, and monitoring workflow and work products, results, methods, and procedures.

The successful candidate will have experience in facility management and/or auxiliary services principles and practices, knowledge of construction rules and regulations for compliance, and knowledge of RFP and bidding process, contractual terms and conditions.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, and oversee the development of divisional work plans, including construction projects and facilities services operations.
  • Assign work activities to directors and supervisors.
  • Monitor workflow and work products, results, methods, and procedures.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate programs and strategies designed to create and maintain safe, functional, secure, clean, and orderly facilities.
  • Supervise and participate in the development and administration of facilities services and construction project budgets.
  • Negotiate and administer contracts with outside vendors, architects, and others.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or Facilities Management.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience required in area of expertise.
  • Knowledge of facility management and/or auxiliary services principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of construction rules and regulations for compliance.
  • Knowledge of RFP and bidding process, contractual terms and conditions.
