Role Overview

As a Relationship Executive for Afterpay, you will be responsible for nurturing and expanding our strategic partnerships within a designated portfolio of Mid-Market merchants based in Australia, aiming to surpass profitability goals for both Afterpay and our partners.

We seek an individual capable of effectively managing a business segment within the Afterpay APAC division. You will steer the direction and development of our vertical strategies, overseeing the growth and advancement of your portfolio by identifying opportunities to implement scalable best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Cultivate and enhance long-term, profitable partnerships that benefit our Merchants, Customers, and Afterpay. Your focus will be on driving topline growth while ensuring sustainable profitability. Engage with C-level executives, managing complex relationships and fostering advocacy both internally and externally. Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Afterpay's global operations to enhance local engagement for your portfolio of Australian merchants. Oversee a multifaceted portfolio, analyzing its performance and leading the development of comprehensive account plans in collaboration with strategic partners. Implement a proactive customer growth strategy to boost merchant usage, satisfaction, and revenue across existing contracts and new ventures. Refine our Merchant Value proposition for both in-store and online experiences, establishing effective marketing practices and expansion strategies with partners. Identify and promote best practices across various domains, including Operations, Risk Management, Staff Training, Visual Merchandising, and Marketing strategies. Advocate for Merchants within the Afterpay organization, ensuring cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Product, Legal, Risk, and Operations to enhance our offerings.

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience in a client-facing Sales, Account Management, or Customer Success role. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline. Exceptional relationship management skills, capable of navigating complex stakeholder relationships and fostering advocacy. Experience in an eCommerce or startup environment with global operations is highly valued. Familiarity with planning, people management, reporting, and profitability metrics. Background in B2B sales. Proficient in managing a complex portfolio while achieving outstanding results. A history of identifying and capitalizing on opportunities. Experience in Programme and Project management is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to develop Go-to-Market strategies that yield significant results and scalability. A commitment to integrity, making courageous decisions, and prioritizing the interests of all stakeholders.
