Lead Indigenous Access Programs

The role of Program Lead – Indigenous Access is a critical position in our organization, responsible for leading and managing programs that promote the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. As a skilled leader and advocate, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of inclusive aged care services.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to strengthen relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organizations, community members, and Elders;
  • Lead a dynamic team in delivering programs that enhance the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities;
  • Oversee the implementation of the Aged Care Sector Development workplan, ensuring culturally safe and person-centred services;
  • Strengthen partnerships with stakeholders, including Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, to ensure the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples shape the future of inclusive aged care services.

Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification in Health, Social Sciences, or a related field;
  • Demonstrated experience in program leadership, particularly within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander contexts;
  • Cultural knowledge and the ability to communicate sensitively with First Nations peoples;
  • Experience managing stakeholder partnerships, team performance, and service delivery outcomes.
