You'll work in partnership with Elders, Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, and health stakeholders to ensure the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples shape the future of inclusive aged care.
You'll also: Lead and mentor staff across Indigenous Access programs Oversee implementation of BHN's Aged Care Sector Development workplan Strengthen relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations, community members, and Elders Contribute to culturally safe, person-centred services Help ensure that our services are aligned with community needs and national reform priorities This role is for you if you Identify asAboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Are passionate about community empowerment and cultural leadership Have experience in program delivery, policy implementation, or service reform in Indigenous health or community services Have strong connections with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and understand their cultural strengths and challenges Are a collaborative leader who brings people together to create real change What You'll Bring A relevant qualification in Health, Social Sciences, or a related field Demonstrated experience in program leadership, especially within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander contexts Cultural knowledge and the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with First Nations peoples Confidence managing stakeholder partnerships, team performance, and service delivery outcomes Commitment to cultural safety, continuous improvement, and positive workplace culture Additional Requirements National Police Check & Working with Children Check Valid working rights in Australia A current driver's licence (preferred) You'll also enjoy Supportive team environment with regular training and professional development.
