
Indigenous Program Specialist

The Moondani Vocational Centre of Excellence is seeking a dedicated professional to champion access, participation, and success for Indigenous students in Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs.
This role involves leading culturally responsive initiatives that foster educational pathways, enhance student outcomes, and integrate Indigenous perspectives across MVCE and Swinburne programs.
The successful candidate will work closely with Indigenous communities, industry partners, and educational stakeholders to support a culturally safe and inclusive learning environment aligned with community aspirations.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Indigenous student services team and the VET Pathways and Engagement teams to align initiatives with MVCE priorities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Indigenous communities and organisations to promote Swinburne's VET programs and pathways.
- Engage with Indigenous leaders, Elders, and community representatives to ensure programs align with community needs and aspirations.
- Partner with targeted secondary schools, including Murrung and First Nations leads, to promote vocational education opportunities to Indigenous students.
A relevant degree with subsequent relevant experience and/or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
