Job Summary:
Fuse Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Professional to join our client's team on a 6-month maternity leave contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a bilingual individual to work with a leading industry player in the food manufacturing and FMCG sectors.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Manager and play a key role in all facets of the company's accounting activities, including:
- Financial Reporting: Preparation of periodic, month-end, and year-end reports, ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards.
- Accounting System Management: Management of the general ledger, bank reconciliations, and accrual/pre-payment transactions.
- Fixed Assets Management: Maintenance of the fixed assets register, including acquisition, disposal, and depreciation.
- Taxation and Compliance: Preparation of FBT, Payroll tax, GST/BAS, and other tax-related reports.
- Internal and External Audit: Assistance in handling internal and external audit works, ensuring seamless compliance.
- Cash Flow Management: Preparation of cash flow reports and forecasts, ensuring accurate financial planning.
- Payable and Receivable Management: Handling of payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely payment and collection.
- Annual Budgeting: Preparation and monitoring of yearly budgets, ensuring financial stability.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in an assistant accountant role.
- Excellent working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards.
- Advanced Excel skillset, with the ability to create formulas, pivot tables, and other complex spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of Dynamics 365 is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual in English and Chinese.
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work to strict deadlines.
- Strategic thinking and analytical awareness.
- Tertiary qualified.
- CPA qualified or working towards this.
