About the Role:

We are currently seeking a part-time Financial Resilience Worker to join our team in Central Queensland. Our team provides financial support and assistance to adults experiencing personal, family, relationship and/or financial issues.

A typical day would involve providing support, information and referrals to assist individuals with the management of their financial resources including household budgets.

  • Our ideal candidate will provide face-to-face support and problem-solving to empower clients to self-advocate.
  • They will also deliver community education activities on financial literacy and utilise brokerage funds to provide financial and material assistance to clients experiencing immediate financial crisis.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Certificate IV qualifications in Community Services, Finance or Business.
  • 2 years relevant experience.

The successful applicant will have a passion for making a difference in the lives of Central Queenslanders and be able to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and guidance to individuals to manage their finances effectively.
  • Develop and implement financial education programs for the local community.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve program outcomes.
  • Conduct needs assessments and develop individualised plans to address financial challenges.
