About the Role

Eku Energy is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our energy markets and origination efforts. As Director of Energy Markets and Origination, you will be responsible for driving our commercial revenue growth and shaping our trading strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Originate, negotiate, and manage commercial revenue offtakes and swap/derivative contracts
  • Drive trading outcomes and asset performance to optimize trading strategies and protocols
  • Provide guidance on trading service contracts, LTSA, supply agreements, warranties, and guarantees
  • Develop and manage regional BESS OEM relationships and provide technology expertise
  • Present to Investment Committee on key projects and support Board presentations as needed
  • Represent Eku Energy on asset-specific Risk and Trading Committees
Requirements
  • Experience with energy asset investment, revenue contracting, and trading across renewable and/or non-renewable assets
  • Experience in originating and negotiating commercial agreements and revenue contracts for energy assets
  • Strong technical knowledge across generation assets, ideally BESS
  • Experience in managing a team, senior stakeholders, and reporting
  • Well-developed commercial and contract management business acumen
  • Strong understanding of the Australian energy market
