About the Role

Eku Energy is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our global battery storage business. As Director of Energy Markets and Origination, you will be responsible for driving the company's strategy and growth in this critical area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Originate and negotiate commercial agreements and revenue contracts for energy assets, with a focus on battery storage.
  • Develop and implement trading strategies to maximize asset and portfolio objectives.
  • Provide guidance on trading service contracts, LTSA, supply agreements, warranties, and guarantees.
  • Define and manage hedging strategies at both asset and portfolio levels.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regional BESS OEMs and provide technical expertise.
  • Present to the Investment Committee on key projects and support Board presentations as required.
  • Represent Eku Energy on asset-specific Risk and Trading Committees.
Requirements
  • Experience in energy asset investment, revenue contracting, and trading, preferably in battery storage.
  • Strong technical knowledge of generation assets, including battery storage.
  • Proven ability to manage a team, senior stakeholders, and reporting.
  • Well-developed commercial and contract management acumen.
  • Strong understanding of the Australian energy market.
