
Resolving Conflict for Families

As a critical member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting separating families make informed decisions about their children's future. Your expertise in therapeutic services and ability to work collaboratively with diverse clients will be essential in providing high-quality support.
About the Position- We are seeking experienced practitioners who can undertake clinical assessments and provide therapeutic interventions to clients with complex issues including family violence, conflict, and loss and grief.
- You will work closely with clients to develop tailored solutions that meet their unique needs, drawing on your skills in child inclusive practice, alternative models of mediation, and trauma-informed practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- To undertake duties in accordance with our organisation's mission, vision, and values.
- To hold tertiary qualifications in counselling, social sciences, or psychotherapy and have demonstrated experience working therapeutically with children and families.
- To register as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner in accordance with Attorney Generals Department (AGD) requirements.
- To demonstrate experience and skills in post-separation family dispute resolution, including clinical assessments and working with clients with difficult or complex presenting issues.
- To have experience and skills in delivering child inclusive practise, with an understanding of issues impacting children and families during and following separation.
- To possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to respond respectfully towards colleagues, clients, community partners, and other professionals.
- To be flexible and adaptable in response to evolving organisational, legislative, and sector priorities and requirements.
- To have experience in delivery of parent education and group workshops.
- To be able to appraise and critically reflect on clinical work and participate in clinical supervision.
- To have experience working with Cultural and Linguistically Diverse Communities (CALD) and with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities.
