Family Conflict Mediator

This is a part-time position that requires you to work 3 days a week, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. As a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, you will provide interventions to families post-separation who are experiencing conflict over parenting arrangements and property distribution.
These interventions include mediation, therapeutic mediation, legally assisted mediation and child inclusive practice within the Family Law Act. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of therapists and FDRPs to support separated families.
Your Essential Skills and Qualifications- You should be accredited by the Australian Attorney-General's Department as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner or eligible to apply for accreditation.
- You hold tertiary qualifications in law, psychology or social work.
- You have accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner or the ability to successfully complete training to meet the accreditation requirements.
- You have knowledge of family law legislation and community services, especially those relating to families experiencing relationship difficulties.
- You have an understanding of child protection issues and demonstrated ability to work independently and contribute to the team.
