Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner. This is a permanent part-time role, working 3 days a week, Tuesday to Friday. You will be based in Sydney's CBD.

About the Position

As a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, you will provide interventions to families experiencing conflict and unable to reach agreements on parenting arrangements or property distribution. These interventions include mediation, therapeutic mediation, legally assisted mediation, and child inclusive practice within the context of the Family Law Act.

You will work collaboratively with a dynamic team of therapists and FDRPs to support separated families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality mediation services to families experiencing conflict.
  • Work independently as well as contribute to the functioning of the team.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
Requirements
  • Accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (Australian Attorney-General's Department) or ability to successfully complete training to meet the accreditation requirements.
  • An understanding of the process and purpose of child inclusive mediation practice.
  • Knowledge of family law legislation.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and writing skills.
