Job Title: Expert Application Support Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced Application Production Support professional to join our team in Sydney, New South Wales (AU).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adopt various tools developed by the engineering team to automate failures using machine learning techniques and notify discrepancies in the health of production and automation of health-restoration.
  • Focus on continuous measurement of risk and cost.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications:

  • Shell Script writing experience.
  • Exposure to automation activities.
  • SQL & Unix knowledge.
  • Good communication skills.

Required Skills:

  • Problem solving in a development or production environment.
  • Good hands-on experience with Unix/Linux commands.
  • Proficiency in one of the following scripting languages: Shell script, Perl, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Proficiency in one of the following RDBMS environments: Sybase ASE/IQ, Oracle, or DB2.

To Simplify the Requirement:

Technical skills needed include SQL, DB, UNIX, Shell scripts, and good communication. A minimum of 6-10 years of L2 support experience is required.

Observations from Earlier Interviews:

Most candidates lack L2 experience or technical skills in UNIX and/or SQL, scripting.
