Job Description

The Commercial Road Transport team at Viva Energy is seeking a Key Account Manager to join our dynamic team in South Australia. This critical role involves managing relationships with existing customers and generating leads to meet monthly sales targets.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining strong partnerships, maximizing revenue growth opportunities, and driving business success through strategic sales initiatives and proactive communication.

Responsibilities
  • Developing Customer Relationships: Strengthen and expand existing relationships with key customers.
  • Identifying Growth Opportunities: Proactively seek out and convert potential growth opportunities within the existing portfolio.
  • Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and market research.
  • Commercial Acumen: Manage contract and commercial negotiations to deliver the most commercial outcome for Viva Energy.
  • Customer Communication: Ensure effective communication to manage customer expectations and ensure safe delivery.
  • Customer Feedback: Gather and report customer feedback to improve product and service offering for future opportunities.
  • Safety Focus: Strong Health and Safety focus, striving toward 'Goal Zero' – Zero harm to people and the environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a passion for driving business success.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability in planning and analysis.
  • Problem-solving skills and sound judgement in decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with exemplary collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong communication abilities, both internally and externally.
