Safety Lead Position Overview

The Safety Lead is accountable for supporting the development and implementation of Primary Connect's Safety, Health & Wellbeing (SH&W) system and associated programs and initiatives. This role partners with Operational and SH&W team members to drive change and deliver strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote safety values and implement policies and systems to embed safety into our culture and ways of working.
  • Deliver timely and accurate safety performance data to business stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain Safety, Wellbeing, and Environment programs, systems, tools, and training.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide advice during change management processes.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to support incident investigations and determine root causes.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Sound experience and working knowledge of safety legislation, codes of practice, and standards.
  • Incident investigation experience using ICAM or equivalent methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver risk assessments and manage change in SH&W initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally.
  • A consultative and innovative approach to deliver best practice outcomes.
