As a Strategic Safety Manager at McNab, you will be an integral part of our team, driving safety leadership across our projects.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Partner with project teams to identify and implement strategies that promote a safety-first culture among subcontractors and direct workers.
  • Take ownership of your technical and safety leadership development, staying up-to-date with industry knowledge and best practices.
  • Collaborate with HSE Advisors and other Safety Business Partners to share information, learnings, priorities, current exposures, and risks.
  • Build productive relationships with subcontractors to educate and hold them accountable for safety expectations.
  • Proactively identify potential issues through early engagement in operational planning, site walks, high-risk planning, and collaboration with Project Managers and Site Managers.

About You

You are a passionate advocate for safety, leading by example and inspiring others to do the same. To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety or a relevant discipline.
  • Solid experience as a health and safety professional on commercial construction sites.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse groups.
  • The willingness to be visible on site and work collaboratively as part of a team.

**Competitive Salary:** $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience
