About the Role

This is a high-level position that requires expertise in safety analysis, policy development, and project management. As the Senior Safety Analyst/Advisor, you will be responsible for providing strategic advice to division executives, senior management, and departmental stakeholders on infrastructure safety issues.

You will lead teams in developing innovative solutions for infrastructure safety services, establish and maintain strategic networks to advance best practices, and prepare Ministerial reports on infrastructure safety matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead high-level analysis, design, review, and implementation of infrastructure safety systems, policies, projects, and programs
  • Provide strategic advice on infrastructure safety issues to division executives, senior management, and departmental stakeholders
  • Develop and implement reporting and assurance frameworks to support the department's strategic direction
  • Establish and maintain strategic networks to advance best practices in infrastructure safety services
  • Analyze safety trends and develop proactive safety awareness material with relevant business units
  • Prepare Ministerial reports and briefing materials on infrastructure safety issues
Requirements
  • Degree in a relevant field such as engineering, safety science, or a related discipline
  • Extensive experience in safety analysis, policy development, and project management in a similar role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and integration principles
About the Salary

The hourly rate for this position is approximately $90.00 AUD, inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading.

About the Location

The successful candidate will be based in Brisbane CBD with flexibility to work from home 2 days per week.
