Job Opportunity: Lead Product Category Growth

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and commercial performance of a product category.

This is a pivotal leadership role where you will balance strategic foresight with decisive execution, ensuring every initiative aligns with our brand goals and elevates the customer experience.

  • Develop and execute category strategies aligned with company growth targets
  • Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activity to uncover opportunities and mitigate risks
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms, speed to market, promotional support, and trade spend
  • Partner with planning and supply teams to optimise inventory levels and avoid out-of-stocks
  • Collaborate with marketing to create compelling category campaigns and in-store experiences
  • Monitor category performance and take proactive action to hit sales, margin, and growth targets
  • Ensure consistent execution across online and in-store merchandising, including planograms and product placement
  • Use insights from customer and market data to continually refine and optimise the category
Key Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in merchandising, category management, or retail buying (experience in FMCG, grocery, fashion, electronics, or other retail categories is a huge plus)
  • A track record of driving sales and margin growth through smart category strategies
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable plans
  • Excellent negotiation skills and proven success managing supplier relationships
  • Experience working across multiple channels including digital, retail, and marketing partnerships
  • The confidence to make data-led decisions and the adaptability to pivot when needed
