Category Marketing Specialist Role Overview
This position involves supporting the sales and marketing team by developing relationships with key customers, identifying commercial opportunities, and contributing to category planning.
Main Responsibilities:
- Create product concepts, write product descriptions, and assist with product sourcing
- Analyze data to drive category growth and optimize customer planograms
- Review customer planograms and optimize assortments
- Manage product registration, artwork approvals, and factory audits
- Present regular reports on slow-moving stock, competitor analysis, and promotional recommendations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in a retail or FMCG environment, preferably in a category, sales, or marketing function
- Degree in Marketing or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel
- Experience with Adobe platforms is advantageous
- Strong creative skills for point-of-sale materials and understanding of planogram planning and execution
