At The Sporting Globe, we're on the hunt for an exceptional Head Chef to lead our kitchen brigade in Geelong. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality pub food and maintaining exceptional standards of presentation and cleanliness.

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus performance-based incentives. You'll also enjoy discounts across our brands, personal development plans, and opportunities for growth within our rapidly expanding business.

About the Role:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a hotel, restaurant, or pub environment is essential.
  • You'll need to lead, inspire, and mentor your team to achieve culinary excellence, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and kitchen cleanliness.
  • A strong work ethic, energetic attitude, and team player approach are crucial for success in this role.
  • Experience with inventory management, budgeting, and staff scheduling is desirable.
  • Compliance with food safety and hygiene standards is a must.
  • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery is highly regarded, but not essential.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia is required.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide kitchen staff.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of food cost control and kitchen operations is advantageous.
