About the Role

As an Executive Chef Director, you will lead a high-performing culinary team to deliver innovative, nutritious, and visually appealing meals that exceed resident expectations. Your expertise will ensure seamless kitchen operations, maintaining quality standards and regulatory compliance at all times.

This is a permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary range of $31.29-$32.03 per hour plus superannuation, dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient meal preparation and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Lifestyle team to plan engaging activities and events, incorporating tailored catering solutions.
  • Develop and implement specialized dietary programs to meet the unique needs of residents with conditions like diabetes or weight management requirements.
  • Supervise food purchasing, storage, handling, and preparation processes, guaranteeing optimal safety and quality control.
  • Implement effective infection control practices, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete paperwork as required, upholding quality and assurance standards.
  • Identify training needs and develop strategies to enhance the skills and knowledge of your team members.
Requirements
  • Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification is essential.
  • Aged care, hotel, or restaurant experience is highly desirable, particularly in leadership roles.
  • Effective time management, organizational skills, and budget management are critical for success in this position.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer service focus, and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team are essential.
