At Holiday Inn, we're looking for a talented Cook / Executive Chef Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and contribute to creating unforgettable dining experiences for our guests.

About the Role:

We're seeking someone with a passion for presentation and dedication to flavour who can take ownership of their workstation, ensuring high standards from workspace to table. As a key member of our kitchen team, you'll be responsible for preparing every meal to perfection, taking pride in every detail, and exceeding guest expectations.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare and present high-quality dishes that delight our guests' taste buds
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to local cleanliness and hygiene laws
  • Assist with washing up and other kitchen duties as needed
  • Take on ad-hoc tasks and collaborate with colleagues to achieve our goals

Requirements:

  • The strength to lift, push, and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg) with occasional bending and kneeling
  • A good grasp of reading, writing, and basic maths
  • The flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Compliance with local laws on food handling and serving alcohol, including being above the minimum age required and fluent in the local language
  • Excellent communication skills, with a warm, welcoming, and easy-to-talk-to approach
