Job Summary

As a Business Development Manager at Panasonic, you will be responsible for developing in-depth business-to-business relationships and securing sales for our Toughbook product category. This role requires a strong understanding of the product and the ability to identify potential new commercial clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies and services to drive revenue growth within designated markets.
  • Provide accurate and effective forecasting of demand for product, pricing, and services.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Toughbook products, solutions, and technologies.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure appropriate campaigns are developed to support required call rates and conversion to sales.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with key decision makers.
  • Expand Panasonic's presence in specific vertical markets.

Requirements

  • A high level of self-motivation, organisation, and commercial acumen is essential.
  • A proven track record in prospecting and winning new business in the information technology industry or selling a solution into the Transport, Logistics, or Government sectors.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to network effectively with existing and potential clients.
  • Be technically minded with the ability to present solutions to complex scenarios.
  • An understanding of how to build a solid sales pipeline and create compelling value propositions.
  • Demonstrate excellent numerical ability, able to understand and talk numbers, forecast sales/market trends, and listen to the needs of our customers.
  • Work autonomously but also co-operatively in a dynamic, competitive market.
  • A current and full driver's license and be willing to travel.
