Role Overview: We are seeking a Country HR Lead for Australia and New Zealand, based in Sydney, to join our APAC People team. This position is a temporary cover for parental leave and will report directly to the APAC People Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Act as the primary HR leader collaborating with the ANZ Managing Director and supporting various teams, including Sales, Engineering, and Operations across multiple locations.
  2. Engage with stakeholders to address employee and organizational needs, emphasizing organizational structure, change management, and talent development.
  3. Propose, design, and execute new HR initiatives as necessary to support business growth.
  4. Drive talent and business strategies that align with our short and long-term objectives, fostering high performance and operational excellence.
  5. Provide expert advice and support on complex employee issues.
  6. Serve as an executive coach for key leaders, upholding high standards for leadership behaviors and values.
  7. Implement practices that enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  8. Exemplify and promote our cultural values of kindness, intelligence, and creativity.
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Proven ability to mentor leaders in personal and team development.
  2. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  3. Experience working independently in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  4. Familiarity with Snap Inc products and services.
  5. Background in HR leadership development programs or similar training.
  6. Experience in HR roles within tech startups or rapidly growing companies.
  7. Expertise in designing and implementing HR systems and processes.
  8. Comprehensive knowledge of core HR functions, including performance management, organizational design, talent management, compensation, and employee relations.
  9. Ability to influence and advise senior leadership on talent and employment issues.
  10. Experience with people analytics and the ability to leverage data for decision-making.
Educational Requirements:
  1. A Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR Business Partner capacity.
