Role Overview: We are seeking a Country HR Lead for Australia and New Zealand, based in Sydney, to join our dynamic APAC People team. This position serves as a crucial 12-month cover for parental leave and reports directly to the APAC People Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Act as the principal HR leader collaborating with the ANZ Managing Director and supporting various teams across multiple locations.
  2. Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment between employee needs and business objectives, emphasizing organizational structure, change management, and talent development.
  3. Design, propose, and execute new HR initiatives to facilitate business growth.
  4. Drive talent and business strategies that align with our short and long-term objectives, promoting high performance and operational excellence.
  5. Provide expert advice on complex employee relations issues.
  6. Serve as an executive coach for key stakeholders, upholding high standards for leadership values and conduct.
  7. Implement practices to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  8. Exemplify and reinforce our core values of kindness, intelligence, and creativity.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Proven ability to mentor leaders in personal and team development.
  2. Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  3. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.
  4. Familiarity with Snap Inc products and services.
  5. Experience in HR leadership development programs or similar initiatives.
  6. Background in HR within a tech startup or rapidly growing organization.
  7. Proficient in designing and implementing HR systems and processes.
  8. Comprehensive knowledge of core HR functions, including performance management, organizational development, talent acquisition, compensation, and employee relations.
  9. Experience advising executive leadership on talent and employment issues.
  10. Proficient in people data analytics with the ability to leverage data for influence.
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  2. A minimum of 5 years in an HR Business Partner capacity.
